DWD was thrilled to take part in the Wisconsin Workforce Development Association's #TDCON25, an annual gathering of business and industry leaders, trade association representatives, policymakers, and more to share best practices and align regional workforce development efforts.
DWD Division of Employment and Training Administrator Michele Carter joined workforce development board leaders Jon Menz, Vickie Patterson, Analiese Smith, Jane Spencer, and Rhonda Suda for a panel discussion on collaborative state and local efforts to support Wisconsin job seekers and employers.
Key topics included:
- Helping employers connect with qualified talent through programs like Wisconsin Apprenticeship and DWD's Office of Veteran Employment Services
- Supporting communities impacted by the opioid crisis through state workforce system services
- Driving innovation through strategic investments such as Governor Tony Evers’ Workforce Solutions Initiative
