Hi, I’m Jan Fehr, and I’m pleased to join the West Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board as Executive Assistant. I bring more than three decades of administrative support experience in education, professional office settings, and organizational operations.
I was born in Menomonie and grew up in Ashland, so it feels full circle working back in Menomonie. I earned my Administrative Assistant degree from District One Technical Institute, now Chippewa Valley Technical College. My career has included seven years as an administrative assistant at Cray Research, Inc. and thirty-one years with the School District of Colfax, where I supported students, families, staff, and administrators in a busy middle and high school office.
Outside of work, my husband, Bob, and I enjoy time with our family, including our son, daughter-in-law, and grand-dog, Maya. I also enjoy golfing, baking, canning produce from our garden, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
I am excited to begin this new chapter and look forward to getting to know the members of the board and the communities we serve.
